Family History Compiled by, Charles Paul Brizzee
My oldest son, Nathan Charles Brizzee, lives in Folsom, California and everytime we visit I go to the sites around there where Porter Rockwell alias Brown must have lived. There are ruins of what I think was his saloon. There is a Mormon Battalion cemetery and by the way just up the hill in Eldorado Hills is where I believe Hyrum Gates and his boys are buried. Lots of Mormon names and one place buried in water was the old Mormon Bar, where lots of gold was taken. And of course Sutter’s Mill is about 15 miles up the river from Folsom. My son says there are still some Brizzees in that part of California. Photo below, My mother took this picture in Nauvoo, July 1990
