Windermere Information courtesy of, Roger Curnutt, Las Vegas, Nevada
Microfiche of the actual handwritten manifest for the Windermere in February, 1854. It shows Ann traveling with the John V. Long family; John V. a Minster, Eleanor his wife, and their 3 children (one of whom died on the way to New Orleans). Since Ann’s middle name was Long, we assume that this was a related family. Note also that Ann Didsbury was only 11 when she began this journey to America. |
