Lorana & Joseph Robertson
In 1898, Joseph Robertson built a home in Mesa, (on 2nd St.) for his bride Lorana Brizzee Robertson. In 1924 Lorana won a tree, she planted it in the front yard, the kids loved climbing it. In 1968 the property was sold to a Catholic Church, the tree remained. The tree after all those years reached 60-80 feet high and dwarfed everything in the neighborhood. The Church had expanded on the property and the tree was cut down!
